Mission Possible

Building A Soccer Program In Haiti

At YESsoccer our broad mission is to make a positive impact in the lives of young people. We believe that mission is at its best when it helps the poor.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to help YESsoccer build a soccer program for the orphans at Yahve Jire Children's Foundation in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

On your mission you will witness the devastation caused by the massive earthquake that struck Port-au-Prince on January 10, 2010, killing over 300,000 people and destroying over 100,000 homes. On your way to Yahve Jire orphanage you will see children, orphaned by the earthquake and AIDS epidemic, roaming the streets and scavenging trash dumps for food.

At the orphanage you will be swarmed by unconditionally loving children who have been saved from a life in the streets. They have no earthly possessions, but have a joy for life, and a passion for soccer. They will find a new hero in the "Coach from YESsoccer!"

You will help children who might otherwise die young, turn to crime, or be sold into slavery or prostitution to grow up in good health at Yahve Jire. Incredibly, these children will have the opportunity to become doctors, lawyers, architects and professionals, equipping them to disrupt the cycle of poverty and corruption that has made Haiti the poorest country in the Western world.

You will help to create hope and possibilities, and maybe even change a country. In return your life will be changed.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, can be applied for at Good Luck.
